A Pakistan People's Party (PPP) candidate has claimed that his party believes in public service, promotion of democracy and the country's solidarity.
Candidate for NA-126 Dr Hasnat Shah told at a function held to pay tribute to Benazir that after the execution of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the party ruled the country twice but never indulged in victimisation.
"The PPP is a symbol of federation and democracy, and political opponents cannot hoodwink the politically conscious people through baseless propaganda." He said Benazir sacrificed her life for the country's solidarity, restoring democracy, the rule of law and safeguarding the poor's rights.
