DuPont Pakistan Operations (Pvt) Ltd has recently upgraded the Korangi fire station to help fire-fighters save themselves and the lives of citizens. Under this community programme, DuPont contributed DuPontTM Nomex (R) protective gears and fire-fighting coveralls for our firemen.
In addition, extensive renovations have been made at the Korangi fire station including restructuring of the control room, whitewash, and ventilation facilities with refurbished fire tender garage.
Muhammad Masood Alam, Executive District Officer, Mohammad Ahteshamuddin, Chief Fire Officer, Naeem Yousuf, Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Korangi Station Officer and Masood Naqi, Chairman Korangi Association of Trade and Industry were also present to grace the occasion.
"I am really thankful to DuPont Pakistan for taking this initiative. I have personally sampled DuPontTM Nomex (R) and it is an excellent material. Our fire-fighters will now be better equipped to face acute fire situations. This renovated station will also prove to be an exemplary model for all other fire stations in the city. We hope to see continued support from DuPont Pakistan in the future too," said Muhammad Masood Alam.-PR
