Integrated development plan for Mirpur soon

Mirpur Development Authority (MDA) will soon resume the process of sector-wise revising of all allotted residential plots falling in the jurisdiction of Mirpur city and its adjoining areas.
Besides, all the basic amenities including roads, water supply, sewerage, electricity, and natural gas services would be revived in the residential sectors of MDA constructed since 15 to 20 years' period.
Addressing a meeting of the notables belonging to all segments of the civil society here on Friday, Chairman Dr Muhammad Amin Chaudhry reiterated his resolve to make the MDA a corruption-free institution besides to restore its lost image among the masses.
He said that on the special directives of AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, MDA is envisaging a plan to turn Mirpur into a model city of the districts. In this regard, the MDA chief summoned a meeting of the notables of the area to invite their proposals and suggestions to implement the project in letter and spirit.
The city elite including former Health minister Arshad Mahmood Ghazi, city Administrator Abdul Qayyum Qamar, local Opposition leaders Mansha Ullah of PPP, Major Iftikhar Hashmi of Jl, ex City Mayor Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Altaf Hamid Rao, Azim Mushtaq Chaudhry, Suhail Shujah Mujahid of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran, Dr Muhammad Ayub Qureshi, Secretary General PMA AJK, Sheikh Iftikhar Zaffar, Saima Mushtaq and Kishwar Aziz of Muslim Conference, Professor Iqbal Mirza and others attended the meeting.
