Benazir laid life for restoration of democracy: Fahim

Makhdoom Amin Fahim, President of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian has said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto laid down her life for restoration of democracy, supremacy of the constitution and empowerment of the people of Pakistan.
"Best way to pay tribute to our great Chairperson is to struggle for achievement of her mission. Unfortunately time didn't allow her and left it for the people and their party to achieve," he said in a press statement here Sunday.
He said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto knew the challenges faced by Pakistan and struggled for democracy through free, fair and transparent elections and governance of collective wisdom. Amin Fahim said PPP's politics revolves around the people and it stands against any ethnic, linguistic, sectarian, caste and creed divide.
Makhdoom Amin Fahim said that Party workers, leaders and candidates should go door to door to inform about the mission of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto adding that PPP must re-start its full electioneering campaign immediately.
The PPP leader said that Shaheed Mohtarma shed her blood for the federation and integrity of Pakistan. As such people of entire country should participate whole-heartedly in February 18 general elections to defeat anti-democratic forces who have designs to change the mandate of the people and reinforce the belief of the party and its martyrs that the power rests with the people.
Amin Fahim said he believed that Shaheed Mohtrama is in spiritual contact with every Pakistani and is guiding the nation from her heavenly abode for a strong Pakistan having democratic, moderate and equality credentials to wipe out poverty, unemployment, lawlessness, and illiteracy to bring in peace and prosperity to the nation.
