Electioneering could not resume in Badin

The electioneering in Badin and other areas of district, which were suspended on December 27, 2007 after the assassination of PPP chairperson Ms. Benazir Bhutto, could not resume even after ten days of the tragic incident.
The election offices of PPP candidates Ghulam Ali Nizamani and Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza in NA-224 Badin and PS-57 Tando Bago constituencies are still closed since then, while the offices of The PML-Q candidates` offices in other areas were also burnt.
PML-Q candidate from PS-58 Badin, Haji Sain Bux Jamali told that law and order situation has not registered any improvement and it would be very difficult for candidates of either side to transport the voters to the polling stations. The electioneering is expected however to begin after 10th of Muharramul Haram and that too under escort.
