The Naib Nazim, Landhi Town, Dr Irshad Ahmed has directed the officials concerned to ensure sanitation, lighting and patching of roads around the Imam Bargahs. The direction came while he was presiding over a meeting on arrangements of holy month of Muharram on Sunday.
Ahmed also formed a special cell to monitor the arrangements and formed a peace committee comprising the TMO, Noman Arshad, two UCs nazims, TOMR Abdur Rauf Jamali and DTO of Solid Waste for consultation with religious scholars in order to maintain law an order situation during Muharram.
The naib nazim said that meeting has decided to suspend all leaves of employees from first to tenth day of Muharrram. The UCs nazims and naib nazims, officials, religious scholars and representative of police force attended the meeting.
