413 outlaws arrested

CIA, City, Saddar and Ravi Town division police arrested 413 outlaws during a general hold-up in the provincial metropolis during the midnight of January 5 and 6. Huge cache of arms, narcotics as well as looted property were also recovered from them.
The police also arrested 34 proclaimed offenders and 17 court absconders besides targeting four dens of criminals during the same crackdown. On the direction of Capital City Police Officer, Additional. Inspector General Malik Muhammad Iqbal, a campaign had been launched against proclaimed offenders and unlicensed arms carriers.
DIG Investigation Tassaduq Hussain and SSP Operations Aftab Ahmed Cheema constituted special teams headed by SP, CIA Chaudhry Masood Aziz, SP Investigation City division Sarfraz Ahmed Falki, SP Operations Rana Ahmed Hassan, SP Saddar Nizam Shahid Durani, SP Investigation Jahanzaib Nazir Khan and SP Ravi Town Dr Abid which conducted raids in various areas of the city and arrested 413 outlaws and recovered 268 pistols, 12 rifles, six pump actions, one Kalashnikove, one carbine, one dagger, 797 bullets, one car, six cell phones from their possession.
The police also arrested 33 drug pushers during this operation and seized more than 2 kg charas, 115 grams heroin and 19 bottles of liquor.
The police raided four dens including Dera Mian Majid Majavar Lower Mall, Dera Shafique alias Chaana Shafiqabad, Dera Aba Gujjar Shafiqabad and Dera Hamayun Khan New Anarkali area and arrested a number of gamblers and proclaimed offenders.
The arrested proclaimed offenders were identified as Farman Ali, Muhammad Hussain, Ijaz Ahmed, Faizan, Ayub, Zubair, Naeem, Muhammad Zulifqar, Rashid, Adnan, Zaheer Ali and Ali Sher. Capital City Police Officer, Addl. IG Malik Muhammad Iqbal has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police raiding teams.
