On Monday, the BRIndex-30 opened in the red zone, at 15,330.22, with a downward gap of 112.32 points, and remained there for whole of the trading time, closing at 15,277.44, registering a negative change of -165.1 points, or -1.07 percent.
It experienced intra-day high of 15,403.56 and low of 15,198.96. The volume amounted to 149,408,600, which was 60.93 percent of market total and 95.55 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 245,216,920 and 156,364,020 shares, respectively.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 5,967.11 with a net negative change of -69.27 points and percentage change of -1.15. The turnover for this sector was 56,438,200 shares. BR Tech. & Comm. Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 1,608.27 with a net downward change of -21.9 points and percentage change of -1.34. The volume of this sector was 33,631,800 shares.
BR Cement Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 1,672.24 with a net negative change of -18.14 points and percentage change of -1.07. Its volume was 29,942,700 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,400.68 with a net positive change of 3.97 points and percentage change of 0.17. The volume was 23,584,200 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,449.04 with a downward change of -7.17 points and percentage change of -0.49. The turnover for this sector was 3,129,200, which was lowest among BR Indices.
