Indian tea exporters eyeing Pakistan and Kenya

The situation in Pakistan may give good times to Indian tea exporters, as they are very keen to purchase the commodity by paying high prices to export it to Islamabad. Political instability in Kenya, a major tea importer, has also come as boost to Indian exporters.
According to an exporter, there was no sale in Kenya for two weeks due to political crisis and business would be affected if supply crunch continues, so they were building up stocks. However, exporters expressed their confidence on Pakistan, where disrupt erupted after assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Normal market condition would be reinstated in Pakistan soon, they said.
