Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Punjab Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan has said that freedom of judiciary was vital for economic progress and development of the country, and only free and fair elections was the answer to our problems.
While addressing a corner in his constituency here on Tuesday, he said they would not make compromise on the freedom of media and judiciary. He also said Pakistan was in the condition of uncertainty owing to a single individual and extra-constitutional steps taken by the government was exposing the country to more dangers. "The people in power were building palaces while the common man was suffering from inflation," he added.
"Only through rigging the rulers could win the elections. The government's decision of selling flour from the offices of their favourite Nazims is a shameful act, in fact it is the responsibility of every government to provide basic necessities to the people," he added.
