Chicago Board of Trade corn and soyabean futures soared early on Tuesday, with corn lifted to an 11-year high by USDA's confirmation of fresh export sales of more than 600,000 tonnes of the grain in the past day, traders said.
Soyabeans kept pace with corn and supported by a drier forecast for Argentina later this week. Both markets continued to see fresh speculative interest amid bullish sentiment for commodities. March corn was up 8-1/2 cents at $4.74-3/4 per bushel by 9:40 am CST (1540 GMT). January soyabeans rose 22 cents to $12.58.
