Worcester Council offers help to civic agencies

The City Council of Worcester, United Kingdom, has offered to sign a MoU of friendship with Lahore for extending cooperation in various fields besides providing facilities for capacity building of workers of different civic agencies in the provincial metropolis.
Councillor Choudhary Allah Ditta, cabinet member with the responsibility for environment issues, who is also the former mayor of the City of Worcester, called on the District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood, here on Wednesday along with a fellow Councillor Muhammad Riaz. Model Town Society President Colonel Tahir Kardar (retd) was also present on this occasion.
The visitors offered to impart training to the fire-fighters and Rescue 1122 workers in the city as well as for drafting a training manual for personnel of these agencies. They also assured to present fire engines from their city for reinforcing the existing fire extinguishing arrangements of the City District Government Lahore.
