Technology Up-gradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) is planning to initiate a skill mapping project to identify the quantitative and qualitative skill shortages being faced by Pakistan's economy.
According to a spokesman of the company here on Wednesday, the exercise will seek out the challenges, map opportunities and prescribe workable policy solution to meet skill deficit and enhance capacities and capabilities of manpower to meet the future economic needs on a sustainable basis.
A pilot project is being launched in Lahore district with a special focus towards the automotive sector. The pilot project will help identify and map the skills of manpower employed in the auto-parts vending sector of the automobile industry.-PR
