Makro-Habib branch opened near Star Gate

Farooq Rahmatullah Director General Civil Aviation Authority on Thursday inaugurated Makro-Habib at Shahra-e-Faisal near Star Gate in Karachi, while Alqera Atiq Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, AVM Sajid Habib, Deputy Director General, Air Commodore Junaid Amin, CEO Airport Services, Anis Aurakzai, Regional Director South CAA and other officials from CAA and Makro-Habib Pakistan were present at the inaugural ceremony.
This is the 3rd branch in Karachi, which is located at Shahra-e-Faisal near Star Gate. Eight-acre land is provided by CAA, which is a great step towards the contribution of boosting the Pakistani Economy, and is part of the futuristic airport city plan of the CAA. The new branch of Makro-Habib, which will encompass 230-250 new employment opportunities and will also provide great facilities of one window discounted shopping to the nearby residential areas.
At the inauguration Farooq Rahmatullah DG CAA said that with the increased focus worldwide by Civil Aviation bodies on revenue generation, activities based on commercial operations and effective use of real estate within and around the airports are in practice, trends in CAA Pakistan are also shifting towards exploring this aspect of revenue generation and this is the first step towards in achieving the milestone.-PR
