Altaf condemns Lahore blast

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the bombing in Lahore and appealed to party workers to donate blood to the injured. He said the country's enemies were trying to destabilise the country with their cowardly acts and wanted to destroy the peace and demanded that President Pervez Musharraf and his caretaker government act against those involved in the incident.
He also demanded that the government take more concrete steps to ensure the public security. The MQM Punjab Committee also condemned the act and their office-bearers also visited the Mayo Hospital and delivered a message of sympathy from their party leader. The committee also said it was never the work of any Muslim but a conspiracy to defame Islam.
