US Consul General lauds CDGK efforts

US Consul General Kay Anske on Friday praised the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) for its efforts in line with human and infrastructure development in Karachi.
The US consulate general termed the CDGK's efforts for betterment of the Karachiites particularly the middle and low-income classes as a good omen during a meeting with City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal in his office. Eric Tunis, US Consulate's Political Officer in Islamabad was also present on the occasion. The two sides held talks on various issues ranging from ongoing developmental projects to infrastructure development in Karachi, said a press release.
In his briefing to the US officials the city nazim said that first time in the history of Karachi mega development projects worth billions of rupees were undertaken and completed in the shortest possible time by the CDGK.
He said rural areas and Goths of the city, which were long neglected by the previous local governments, were focused by the CDGK in terms of development, said the release. With an unprecedented development of road infrastructure in Goths the CDGK had provided water to those areas of the city, which were tantalising for the basic need of life for the last 40 years.-PR
