Two dacoits held after encounter with rangers

Pakistan Rangers arrested two robbers here on Saturday night after a brief encounter over Baloch Colony fly-over. One SMG and a TT pistol were recovered from the possession of the accused persons.
Giving the details of the incident a spokesman of Pakistan Rangers said that when the rangers got the information about four dacoits, fleeing in a Honda Civic car after snatching Rs 164,000 from a shopkeeper, they (Rangers) followed them (robbers) and succeeded in intercepting them (accused persons) at Baloch Colony fly-over.
Furthermore, he said that after reaching the spot the robbers opened fire on rangers, dodging the officials, they went ahead but could not continue due to heavy traffic.
One of the accused was grabbed by rangers, while another jumped down the bridge, but caught in an injured condition. Those arrested were identified as Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Pannu Aqil and Kulharo, a resident of Umerkot. However, two co-accused managed to escape. The accused persons were, later, handed over to Baloch Colony police for further action.
