Zimbabwe face PCB Patron's XI in tour opener

Zimbabwe bidding to regain their test status will open their short tour to Pakistan when they take on PCB XI in the 4-day game starting at the newly constructed Defence Stadium from Monday.
Zimbabwe, which was stripped off playing test cricket after several of their senior players, quit playing for their team following a row with Zimbabwe Cricket officials.
But tourists under youthful skipper Proper Utseya are aiming to return to test fold with good performances in longer version of the game. On the other hand, PCB Patron's XI, led by veteran Test all-rounder Shahid Afridi got some talented players which earned them place in the team because of their performances with the bat and ball.
