Deposed Chief Justice of Supreme Court Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was prevented from going Peshawar to attend meeting of Pakistan Bar Council. According to details, deposed Chief Justice was invited to preside over the meeting of Pakistan Bar Council on Sunday but the administration locked his residence.
Iftikhar Chaudhry through servant informed Magistrate Hussain Bahadar deployed outside his residence that he was going to Peshawar but he was not allowed and locked his residence before his departure. It may be noted that senior former judge of Supreme Court Justice Rana Bhagwandas was also prevented to attend the Bar Council meeting and he was held under house arrest on Saturday.
