FC deployed at flour mills, shops in Chaman

On the directives of higher authorities, a large number of personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan has been deployed on flourmills and shops to ensure selling of flour on government rates in Chaman. According to reports, the FC personnel deployed on flourmills' outlets had imposed ban on purchase of more than one 20 kilogram wheat flour bag per head.
They have also warned shopkeepers and millowners to sell the flour on government rates fixed as Rs 14 per kg. On the other hand, most of the flour dealers are not ready to sell flour on the government fixed rates and absorb a huge loss. They have stopped selling flour and closed their shops making situation worse. The FC has also tightened security on Pak-Afghan border here to ensure check on wheat flour smuggling.
