36 suspected terrorists held in Faisalabad

Multan Police have rounded up 15 suspects of different banned sectarian organisations while Faisalabad police held 36 suspected terrorists in a search operation following reports of the presence of suicide bombers in the city.
Regional Police Officer Mirza Muhammad Ali said, "we have taken 15 suspects of banned organisations into custody while proclaim offenders are being arrested to maintain peace during Ashura."
Meanwhile, caretaker Interior Minister Lieutenant General Hamid Nawaz Khan (Retd) told that security agencies arrested eight suspected terrorists from Sargodha and Mianwali and recovered 37 and 30 kg of explosives from their possession.
Suspects held in Faisalabad include people from tribal areas. Several Afghans were also held, but released after they proved their identity.
Similarly Rajanpur Police have arrested a terrorist, identified as Ali Haider s/o Murad Gul of Kohat from a Karachi-bound bus and seized Pistol-Colt 1,000 rounds, Pistol 44 bore 1,520 rounds, Rifle 8-mm 500 rounds, and Rifle-7.63 with 1,170 rounds. These were packed in two gunny bags. Muzaffargarh Police have also arrested a suspect, Yaquob Alias Munna s/o Muhammad Ayyub who was an activist of a banned outfit.
