Naval chief leaves for Bangladesh and Australia

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Afzal Tahir, departed on an official visit to Bangladesh and Australia. This was stated in a press release of the ISPR (Navy) issued on Friday.
It said that he was seen off at Islamabad International Airport by Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Asaf Humayun, High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Mrs Yasmeen Murshed, Defence Advisors of the embassies of Bangladesh and Australia and other naval officers.
During the visit, Chief of the Naval Staff will hold talks with his counterparts and other senior defence officials and discuss matters of mutual interest. Chief of Staff, Vice Admiral Asaf Humayun would be acting Chief of the Naval Staff in his absence.
