The Karachi Port handled 27,901 tonnes import cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. Fourteen ships namely Hyundai Sprinter, YM Energy, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Nordwoge, OEL Strength, Tower Bridge, Hajin Chittagong, St. Irene, Semery, Lalazar, Aqua Star, Maliau, MT Johar and Bunga Melati-7 sailed out to sea during the report period.
Twelve vessels viz Maliau, Al-Maqwa, MT Johar, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, St. Irene, Nordwoge, OEL Strength, Jitra Bhum, Francoise Gilot, Noor-e-Madina, Red Sea Spirit and Drake are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Noor-e-Madina, Glory Tellus and Bunga Terasek expected to sail on Monday. Eight vessels viz Moyra, Hermia, Hansa Century, Harmony, APL Amman, OEL Spirit, Pacific Arrow and African Pal due to arrive on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 50,087 tonnes Diesel Oil and 20,740 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely MV CGM Turkey and Palermo sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely MV Al-Salam-II is expected to sail on Monday.
A total of five ships namely Sirios, John GR, Maersk Novazzano, Eastern Tera and Sima Paya carrying Wheat and Containers are currently at the outer anchorage. Five vessels viz MV CGM Turkey, Palermo, Shadwan Island, MV City of Dubrovnik and Al-Salam-II were occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Wheat and Diesel Oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships due to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal on Monday. Seven vessels viz Drake, Eternal Pride, Qem Star, Socotra, Theodsia, Southern Bull and Gas Emperor carrying Seeds, Diesel Oil, VCM, Containers, Wheat and Chemicals are due to arrive.
