Super six football league: PEL, PPWD meeting today

The ninth encounter of Super Six of Pakistan Football Federation League will be played on Thursday when Pak Elektron Limited (PEL) will lock horns with Pakistan Public Works Department (PPWD) at lush green grassy field of Model Town Football Academy ground in Lahore.
National football team's coach Akhtar Mohiuddin will be the chief guest. He is in Lahore to prepare national team for coming IInd AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers against Chinese Taipei, Sri Lanka and Guam.
PEL and Pakistan Steel are on top of table with five points each and having identical goal counts of 4-2. PPWD, who appeared in A-Division soccer in 2005, are in third slot with four points, followed by Sui Southern Gas Company and Pakistan Air Force (3 points each). Wah's Pakistan Ordnance Factory is in dire straits, losing all three matches. According Match Commissioner Mian Rizwan Ali, Sports Officer of Pak PWD Sports Federation Muhammad Parvez Saleemi has already announced strong Karachi-based team. The referees' panel is comprised of Rauf Bari, Waheed Murad, Shams Pervaiz, Shafaat Habib, Asif Kiyani, Muhammad Zahid and Shahid Hussain.
