Wheat prices up amid sharp fluctuations

Wheat prices were sharply higher on the grain market on Thursday in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereal side, wheat gained further Rs 100 to Rs 1700-1715, they said. Gur better type gained Rs 150 to Rs 2400 while inferior type maintained its overnight level, Khandsari rose by Rs 100 to Rs 3400, they said.
On the seed side, rapeseed Mirpurlane was sharply higher by Rs 200 to Rs 1800 while the low type did not move any side at Rs 1575, til followed suit and gained sharply by Rs 250 to Rs 3250-3425, they added.
On the grams side, gram garda Punjab low type lost Rs 25 to Rs 2925 and better type shed Rs 50 to Rs 3075. Gram garda dal Punjab was down by Rs 50 to Rs 3700-3800. Yellow peas Canada shed Rs 25 to Rs 2975-3125, yellow peas dal Canada inferior type was lower by 25 to Rs 3225 and good type was down by Rs 50 to Rs 3350. Beetle Chana No 1 shed Rs 25 to Rs 3125-3275, beetle 50x50 low type was lower by Rs 25 to Rs 3025 and good type failed to maintain its overnight level, losing Rs 50 to Rs 3150. Bajra followed suit and shed Rs 50 to Rs 1750-2200, dealers said.
