BRIndex30 drops 102.75 points

On Thursday, the BRIndex30 opened in the green zone at 15,057.79, with an upward gap of 57.96 points. It closed at 14,897.08 with a net negative change of -102.75 points and percentage change of -0.69. It recorded an intra-day high of 15,083.49 and an intra-day low of 14,888.77.
The volume amounted to 94,276,700, which was 51.09 percent of the total market and 77.97 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of the KSE All Share and the KSE-100 were 184,524,100 and 120,919,800 respectively.
BR Tech. & Comm. Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 1,485.93 with a downward movement of -14.4 points and percentage change of -0.96. The volume of this sector was 19,508,200. BR Cement Index closed with a turnover of 7,880,000. It saw a fall of -12.22 points or -0.77 percent, closing at 1,579.65.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 5,754.83 with a net negative change of -33.86 points and percentage change of -0.58. The turnover for this sector was 43,699,300.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed with a turnover of 1,272,900. It closed at 1,427.99 with a net negative change of -10.86 points or -0.75 percent, which was the lowest among BRIndices. BR Oil and Gas Index was the third most active sector with a turnover of 15,361,600. It closed at 2,353.93 with a net negative change of -7.03 points or -0.30 percent.
