CDA accused of neglecting problems of businessmen

President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Ijaz Abbasi called on the traders and industrialists meeting to resolve the problems of business community due to delay in completion of the projects. President ICCI claimed that Capital Development Authority (CDA) is continuously neglecting the problems of business community.
He added that after government servants, majority of capital population is business community. President ICCI Ijaz Abbasi asked the business community to come forward and inform ICCI about their problems. He stressed that traders and industrialists problems be revolved by the concerned authorities particularly the CDA.
President ICCI also claimed that the Chamber has forwarded many suggestions to the higher authorities and the problems of the business community yet to be resolved.
President ICCI, demanded that CDA should upgrade the roads, street lights and footpaths of the industrial area and markets. He added that CDA should allow construction of the additional stories on building of I-9 sector to overcome residential problems.
Ijaz Abbasi said that the problems can be resolved with collaboration and efforts, expressing the hope that all pending works of traders and industrialists would be completed this year. In the meeting, President ICCI mentioned that CDA has approved a lot of schemes for business community but still some of the schemes are pending.
Especially CDA has declared I-17 sector for new industrial estate of Islamabad and work should be started on it. He mentioned that residential problems and extension of commercial property would be discussed in traders and industrialists convention.
