Lawyer's practising license restored

26 Jan, 2008

A division bench of the Lahore High Court restored the practising license of the President District Bar Association Jaranwala, BK Tabish. Earlier, Justice M Bilal Khan of Lahore High Court on November 29 had suspended the practising license of Tabish, for uttering contemptuous remarks against the court during proceedings of a case.
Tabish appeared before the court of Justice Bilal opposing the bail application of an accused involved in a case of minor scuffle. He argued that the accused fled from the court of an additional and sessions judge before decision on their bail applications.
He said the judge was supposed to reject bail application but the accused escaped and then moved their bail application before the LHC. At this, the judge asked Tabish that how did he know that judge was supposed to reject bail application. The judge further asked what he thinks about himself if he realised things before the judges passed order. Subsequently the judge ordered to suspend the practising license of Tabish.
