US senators, HRW call welcomed

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Friday welcomed the eight US senators and the Human Rights Watch call for a UN-sponsored probe into the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. In a statement issued here the PPP said it had vindicated its position.
It may be mentioned that eight US Senators have sent a letter Thursday to President Bush urging him to advise the [Pakistan] government 'to permit an immediate, thorough, and credible investigation, under the aegis of the United Nations, into the murder of Benazir Bhutto". Human Rights Watch (HRW) has also sought UN-led probe into the assassination Benazir.
