Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that the US will commit biggest ever mistake if it sends its troops in tribal areas of Pakistan. Talking to a private TV channel, Imran Khan said that he opposed the suggestion of sending US troops to tribal areas of Pakistan.
'Even Pakistani forces should not go to tribal areas' he urged. He was of the opinion that dialogue should be initiated with the tribesmen. He said that General Orakzai (Retd), former Governor of the NWFP signed the Waziristan accord to try to bring the tribal people on dialogue table.
He said that the US does not understand that its forces will be entangled there if they enter tribal areas and will face more tough time than Iraq. When asked what sort of help he suggests to seek from the US, he rejected to take any sort of help form the US and suggested that Pakistan should not extend its hand before any one.
He asked the Bush administration not to support the dictator, who uses its own forces against its people to save his chair, which will not curb terrorism, and resultantly, destabilise Pakistan. He said that only those parties want to talk with US, which need US backing to gain power. "I have asked the US lawmakers not to back any party in Pakistan as they backed Benazir Bhutto which was totally wrong," he said.
