Renowned poet of Sindhi and Urdu and a social worker Qazi Izharuddin Izhar passed away on Saturday after a prolonged illness. Qazi Izharuddin Izhar, who has a unique identity in Pakistani literature, had written eight collection of poetry.
He also remained Assistant Director Social Welfare and engaged in social work after retirement. He also remained founder member and president of social organisation Anjuman Talaba-e-Qadeem Islamia Municipal High School. A condolence meeting was held by the organisation in which Quran Khwani and Fateha were offered for his departed soul.
Prominent Naat Khwan Syed Shaukat Zaidi, Syed Zafar Zaidi, Ehtramuddin and Babu Hussain Hamdam read out his poetry. The office-bearers and members of the organisation also threw light on the services rendered by him in the social field.
