10 Indian fishermen arrested

Maritime Security authorities arrested 10 Indian fishermen some 90 nautical miles from the coast in Pakistan territorial waters, officials said Saturday. The arrested fishermen were handed over to police, they said.
The arrests were made around 10.30 pm on Thursday after which the accused were brought ashore. Two launches of the fishermen, one of them named "New Laxman" were also seized.
The arrested fishermen were accused of illegally fishing in Pakistan territorial waters. They will be produced in a court on Saturday for obtaining their remand, police further said.
Those handed over to police on Friday were Dharmindar, son of Kirshan, Laxman son of Rana, Ramesh son of Lakha, Kalu son of Pira Bhai, Barat son of Badri, Dodu son of Kalu, Babu son of Watu, Devji son of Kana, Ramesh son of Koma, and Laxman son of Ardi.
