The Khairpur police has arrested two men including a UC Nazim for suspected links with a dacoit. District Police Officer (DPO) Khairpur, Fida Hussain Mastoi told reporters that Sobhodero and Gambat police raided village Khemtia and arrested Younus Khemtio, Nazim UC Khemtio of taluka Gambat.
He said that the area police also raided another village and arrested one Rustam Panhwar. The police have arrested them for their alleged connection with a dacoit Gulab Jeho, who was involved in kidnapping of three traders, Bashir Channa, Shabbir Channa and Nazeer Panhwar, he added.
The district police earlier arrested Usman Samejo from Sukkur on Thursday who was reportedly demanding ransom from relatives of the three kidnapped traders of Ranipur. Police Officials said that a special police team comprising senior police officials interrogated the arrested men on Friday. The Khairpur police claimed that they had found a clue of having connection between the UC nazim with the dacoit during interrogation with Usman Samejo.
