Gulberg police has registered a case against five policemen including an ASI for killing a Christian Asif Javed Kokari by throwing him down from roof top in Christian Town Faisalabad. No arrest was reported, so far, however, Christian community threatened to launch protestation, if culprits were not apprehended.
According to Police sources, Asif Javed Kokari was involved in drug trafficking and wanted in many cases. Last night, five policemen entered the house to arrest Asif Javed Kokari, who was present in his house. Asif ran on the roof to save him from arrest and jumped down to another floor, but he slipped and fell down at ground floor and died due to head injury.
Family members of Asif Javed Kokari alleged that he ran on the roof of his house, but policemen threw him down at ground floor from rooftop, due to which he died. However, on the report of Shamim Bibi aunty of deceased, Gulberg Police has registered a case against Wajid Ali ASI and five constables Afzal Malid etc.
