Documentary on 'cosmology' presented at GCU

The Education Society of the Government College University Lahore arranged a documentary presentation on 'cosmology' named Galactica in the Bokhari auditorium of the university viewed by science students on Tuesday.
It was a 40-minute documentary with detailed information regarding the mighty universe, its movement, position and reverse calculation. The documentary depicted the various paradigms related to the sun, the moon and the earth's structural modules and the sizzling temperature of the sun, the atmospherical changes of the earth and the future prospects of life on earth were projected to the students.
The outer layer of the sun is 6,000 degree Celsius while its inner temperature is 150 million-degree Celsius. The objective of the documentary presentation was to aware the students about the various paradigms of the universe with special reference to our earth and the sun.
The chief guest of the ceremony chairperson Chemistry department of the GCU Lahore Professor Dr M A Kashmiri appreciated the Education society for presenting such an excellent documentary.
He said that such documentaries should be shown to the students because these presentations enhance the horizon of the students and urged them to delve deep into the subject matter in order to further their knowledge in their relevant field.
He said, our solar system is finning around its axis and galaxies are receding from one another. Dr Kashmiri further told that the heart of the universe is pulsating and there is super symmetry in this universe.
Dr Kashmiri said the vice chancellor's vigorous efforts pertaining enhancement of the academic calibre of the university are commendable and GCU Lahore has always been in the limelight of high profile academic place for its quality standard education.
