Prices move both ways on grain market

Prices moved both ways on the grain market on Wednesday in process of slow trading, dealers said. On the cereal side, urad from Burma gained Rs 50 to Rs 1450-1650. Wheat old and new both types picked up the same amount at Rs 1550-1565.
Sugar low type shed Rs 30 to Rs 2250, better type lost Rs 50 to Rs 2300 and khandsari failed to maintain its overnight gains, dropping sharply by Rs 200 to Rs 3200, they said.
On the seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag inferior type shed Rs 30 to Rs 450 and good type picked up the same amount Rs 530. Cottonseed with bag Sindh old low type was up by Rs 10 to Rs 560 while the good variety was lower by Rs 20 to Rs 600, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh new type slipped by Rs 10 to Rs 640-650, they added.
