Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 142,932 tonnes cargo including 98,317 tonnes import, 44,615 tonnes export cargo and 3,020 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 60,421 tonnes dry cargo including 35,689 tonnes general cargo; 5,044 tonnes Fertiliser; 3,500 tonnes Rock Phosphate; 7,788 tonnes Cement; 8,400 tonnes Clinker and 82,511 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Ploutos, Sealo-1, Conti Harmony, Wan Hai-311 and Mol Admiration sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Apl Sokhna, Bulk Arrow, Emerald Coral, MT Johar and Seychelles Progress are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Tenth Ocean and Seychelles Progress expected to sail on Wednesday, while seven vessels viz Apl Sokhna, Paris Texas, Hyun Jin, MT Johar, Gold Star, Wales-II and Emerald Coral expected to sail on Thursday.
Four vessels viz Helene Rickmers, Harmony, Kapitan Byankin and Spica due to arrive on Wednesday, while eight ships namely Al Asr, Oak Glaxy, YM Star, ST. Irene, Orient Stride, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Lucky Arrow and Don Frane Bulie are due to arrive on Thursday.

Two container ships namely Maersk Ohio and Nedlloyd Ocean sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely Ibn Sina is expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of eight ships namely Yick Shun, Theodosia, Kuwana, Sigas Silvia, Beluga Fantastic, MSC Dymphna, Al Wajba and Olympic Serenity carrying Wheat, General Cargo, Chemicals, Project Cargo, Containers and Furnace Oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz MV Nedlloyd Ocean, Ibn Sina, MV John GR, Xin Hua Men, Bunga Melati Dua and Kaghan were occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Wheat, Edible Oil and Iron Ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely MSC Dymphna, Al Wajba, Beluga Fantastic and Olympic Serenity due to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Marginal Wharf and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Fourteen vessels viz Capetan Haris, San Andres, Effel, Oak Galaxy, Zabrjad, Maersk Novazzano, Sima Pars, Nepheli, Jewil-I, Lake Globe, Lotus, CGM Aegean, Liquid Success and African Halycon carrying Rice, Containers, Edible Oil, Cement, Wheat, Canola and Crude Oil are due to arrive.
