Rallies, wall chalking banned in Faisalabad

City District Nazim, Rana Zahid Tauseef has prohibited wall chalking within the revenue limits of district Faisalabad. He has taken this step under section 144 of Pakistan Penal Code and the order has been enforced with immediate effect.
It has been further notified that rallies and processions have also been banned by City District Nazim, within the revenue limits of the district. This order has come into force immediately and will remain effective for 30 days. However, corner meetings have been allowed by district government under the Code of Conduct issued by Election Commission Pakistan. Religious functions and majalis would also be exempted from this prohibition.
Meanwhile, a ban has been imposed under section 144 on operating truck stands from within the city limits. This order has been enforced for 30 days. As such trucks will not be allowed entry into the down town area.
