IJT to elect new president

Amongst members of Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) Pakistan will elect a new president along with provincial heads (nazims) of the student organisation on Saturday during their annual convention in Peshawar.
Abdul Wadud, IJT spokesman in central office Lahore told APP that the convention started in Peshawar on Friday morning, while the elections will be held on Saturday. He said more than 1300 members from across the country will cast votes by secret ballot for electing the new office-bearers and members of executive committees. The election result will be announced the same night, he added.
