Czech Republic trade delegation meets ICCI President

A two-member trade delegation from Czech Republic led by the prominent industrialist, Michal Jirkovsky met the President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ijaz Abbasi here on Friday. The ICCI President said that Pakistan is under the grip of media trial by the western countries for unknown reasons.
He invited the members of the delegation to visit any part of the country and see for themselves the real investment-friendly environment of Pakistan. Abbasi said that there is an energy crisis in the country, as it needs about 2,000 megawatt more electricity.
He said that in case any Czech company was interested to invest in energy sector, Pakistan would welcome it. He said that there is a large scope of increasing bilateral trade, and single country exhibitions. Jirkovsky said that Czech Republic is a member of European Union and that there are reservations of traders about Pakistan.
He said, he has seen that circumstances are altogether different here and there is nothing to worry about. He said that fruit, vegetables, sports goods, surgical instruments and leathers goods from Pakistan can be introduced in Czech market.
Pakistan can import heavy machinery, earth moving machinery, cement and sugar plants, electricity generation plant, heavy trucks and vehicles etc. Vice President Abdul Ghaffar Chaudhry, Munawar Mugahl and Ishtiaq Qureshi were also present in the meeting.
