Doctors urged to adopt new methods of treatment

Post-Graduate Medical Institute Principal Professor Dr Sajjad Hussain has said modern research and innovations in medicine have given new trends of treatment of diseases and now such doctors and surgeons will be a successful ones adopting new methods of treatment.
His comment came on Friday in his speech to a workshop on "surgical skills", organised by the Society of Surgeons Pakistan, at the Lahore General Hospital. Sajjad said his institute had set up a well-equipped computer resource research lab to update doctors' knowledge. He also said the lab had 30 computers plus the Internet to help the doctors with 24,000 medical journals and 45,000 e-books. Doctors Umer Farooq Balouch, Shahzad Alam, Shahid and Professor Abdul Manan Babar also made speeches.
