The Pakistan Poultry Association has decided to import corn and other grains from India, it was learnt here on Friday. "Corn and other grains are used for poultry feeds and are short in supply locally," the association's Secretary said.
He said a joint delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the association, headed by the latter's Chairman Abdul Basit, visited the Wagha customs office to evaluate the import feasibility. He also said the meeting decided to go ahead with the import, and hoped that it would leave a positive impact on the poultry feed rates.
