October 18 tragedy at PPP rallies: arrest warrant to float driver reissued

The tribunal of Inquiry probing into twin blast tragedy of October 18 in PPP rally, on Saturday ordered repeat of non-bailable warrant (NBW) of arrest against Abdul Ghani Baloch, driver of bullet-proof truck carrying Benazir Bhutto.
Earlier, the Bahadurabad PS SHO submitted a report according to which witness summoned could not be traced as he has left his residence and shifted temporarily. The Tribunal then ordered its registrar to repeat non-bailable warrant to the witness for February 4 by an officer not below the rank of a DSP.
The bench also dismissed an application by PPP Sindh President Syed Qaim Ali Shah seeking copies of an order passed on previous Monday wherein application filed by the PPP was dismissed and filed.
The tribunal said as counsel Farooq H. Naek is not present, the application is being dismissed for non-prosecution. The bench also issued notice to Syed Qaim Ali Shah for February 11. The bench later put off further proceedings till February 4.
