PML-N central finance secretary Muhammad Pervaiz Malik has said that justice is the basic right of the people, which they must get at every cost
Talking to a delegation here on Saturday, led by PML-N candidate for PP-153 Ramzan Siddiq Bhatt, he said, "Independence of judiciary is prerequisite for democracy and by deposing judges who believe in supremacy of constitution and law is unethical."
He also said that no person is indispensable for the country adding that it is institutions that make a state strong and not individuals. Criticising rejection of nomination papers of Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, he said political scenario of the country would have been different if their papers were not rejected.
"However, the rulers know that their favourites cannot win the elections and thus are using coercive methods. "Pervez Musharraf should step down immediately as after February 18 the option of respectable exit would not be there anymore," he added.
