POA's new office-bearers elected

The Punjab Olympics Association (POA) has elected new office-bearers for the next term.
These included president Syed Shahid Ali Shah of Packages Group, Senior Vice President Iftikhar Ali Malik, Vice Presidents Khawaja Farooq Saeed, Khawaja Ahmed Hasan, Zuhair Leshari, Khawaja Bashir, Aamer Malik and Madam Perveen Gill, Secretary General Idrees Khawaja and Treasure Bashir A Gill.
Governor Punjab is pattern-in-chief of Punjab Olympics Association (POA) meant to promote sports culture in the province and buildup the world class infrastructure such as sport stadiums, sports materials and related facilities to allure the youths towards games.
The Punjab Olympics Association is a vibrant body in promoting the sport culture in the province. Syed family having big business empire has done a great job to make The Punjab Olympics Association a role model for other associations.
The new Senior Vice President Iftikhar Ali Malik's family is also well known for its social sector. It has set up two big hospitals in Lahore where latest treatment facilities are provided to the patients free of cost. The joining of two big business family the Punjab Olympics Association is going to play a vital role in promotion of games.
Addressing the newly elected office bearers. Iftikhar Ali Malik said sports play a key role in nation-building and he as Senior Vice President of The Punjab Olympics Association will urged the business community and politicians that they should spare time and funds for sports and arrange national games at community levels to hunt talents for international games.
He said sports were the best way out for keeping youths engaged in healthy practices and keep their spirit high for contributing in nation building. Iftikhar Malik added that he will engaged trade and business associations for financing sports events and inspire youths to excel in the games to participate at international level in different games.
Iftikhar Ali Malik said his message for different sections of the society will be that each of them should stand up to promote sports culture in Pakistan and provide youths an opportunity to proof their God gifted abilities. He said Pakistan needs help of those who have resources for financing sport programme at national level and make youths feel that they were not being ignored for this key area of sports.
