03 Feb, 2008

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate from PS-116 Syed Sardar Ahmed said on Saturday that MQM was the only political party in the country which had never withdrawn from its struggle for people.
He said that candidates of other parties consider election a game and surface only during election campaign but then forget the people in the corridors of power after wining the elections.
"Muttahida is the only party whose candidates and workers get busy in the welfare of people and development schemes after winning the elections", he said while speaking at corner meetings in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Maqboolabad Block 3 Society during election campaign.
He said that the process of development by Haq Parast leadership will continue after the elections in the city with more focussed approach. Sardar pointed out that MQM manifesto 'empowerment for all' was well received by the masses and Muttahida has launched a non-stop journey of development and construction.
Meanwhile, another MQM candidate from PS-126 Syed Faisal Sabzwari said that MQM was struggling for people's empowerment because this is the only way to resolve their problems.
He was addressing a corner meeting at Ahsanabad and Society Sector 13-A here on Saturday. He said that people do not believe hollow slogans and they will choose their candidates on the basis of previous record and performance.
