Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 111,221 tonnes cargo including 53,211 tonnes import, 58,010 tonnes export cargo and 4,431 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 108,221 tonnes dry cargo including 73,946 tonnes general cargo; 2,430 tonnes Rock Phosphate; 3,418 tonnes Wheat; 3,687 tonnes Rice; 7,240 tonnes Cement; 17,500 tonnes Clinker and 3,000 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely ST. Irene, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Bulk Arrow and London Bridge sailed out to sea during the report period.
Three vessels viz YM Inauguration, Augusta and Spica are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Oak Galaxy, Augusta, Hyun Jin, Hansa Liberty and Bador expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz Spica and Orient Stride expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Nordic Hanne, MT Swat and Emirates Gundwana due to arrive on Saturday, while five ships namely Jindal Kamla, Conti Germany, Oel Strength, Mol Ability and Atlant Trina are due to arrive on Sunday. Four ships namely Oel Spirit, Cap Colorado, Jewel-1 and Guan He Kou are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 27,124 tonnes Crude Oil; 16,331 tonnes Coal; 1,291 tonnes Rice; 15,509 tonnes Wheat and 13,668 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely CV CGM Eiffel and CV Sima Pars sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Two ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano and MV Xin Hua Men are expected to sail on Saturday afternoon. A total of seven ships namely Theodosia, John GR, CGM Aegean, MSC Tia, Nephali, Zabrjad and Oak Galaxy carrying Wheat, Clinker, Containers, Cement and Edible Oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz MV Sima Pars, CV Maersk Novazzano, Captain Haris, MV Xin Hua Men, MV Yick Shun, MV Lotus and YM Cultivation were occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Rice, Wheat, Crude Oil and Coal respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely CGM Aegean, MSC Tia and Oak Galaxy due to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Saturday. Six vessels viz African Halycon, Jewel-1, Lake Globe, Liquid Success, Navios Hios and Pantanal carrying Wheat, Canola, Chemicals and General Cargo are due to arrive.
