Heavy rains lashed Pakpattan and its surrounding areas on the night between Saturday and Sunday, causing severe cold wave. The rains continued for several hours, affecting all business and life activities across the region. Rainwater entered the houses in low-lying areas, creating miseries for residents.
The main cause of this situation was due to failure of sewerage system. The load shedding also added to the miseries of people.
