Three persons including a woman were killed when an oil tanker tumbled down here on Sunday morning near Millat Chowk. The Traffic Police said that a speeding oil tanker LF-4217 on way from Sargodha Road to Millat Chowk overturned on the footpath crushing pedestrians Abdul Razzaq and his sister Zakia Bibi to death.
Driver was immediately shifted to the Allied Hospital, where he passed away.
The Rescue 1122 team recovered bodies of the deceased while a police investigation is underway in this connection. In another accident driver of a tractor trolley, Muhammad Shafique, was killed when a speedy truck collided with his sugarcane loaded tractor trolley near Chak 319-GB.
Meanwhile, a trailer driver, Abdul Razzaq, was crushed to death by a bus on Faisalabad-Jhang road, when he was checking tyres of his trailer on roadside. A case has been registered in this regard. Similarly, Ali Raza was killed in a hit and run by a flying coach LRJ-5044 in the limits of Gulberg Police Station.
