ANP leader Kakakhail shot dead

The vice-president of Awami National Part (ANP), Sindh, Fazlur Rehman Kakakhail, was shot dead in an incident of firing in Sohrab Goth area on Wednesday evening. He was going in his car when unknown persons intercepted him near Al-Asif Square and opened fire in which he was killed.
According to Edhi sources, his body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Meanwhile, violence erupted in some city areas after spread of news of death of the Sindh ANP vice-president. Miscreants started pelting stones and resorted to aerial firing and got shops closed in Banaras Chowk, Quaidabad, Shah Faisal Colony, and some other areas. During violence a car and a bus were torched.
The protestors blocked the Super Highway after which heavy contingents of Police and Rangers arrived, who dispersed the people and got the highway reopened. Some people also resorted to violence in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the body of slained ANP leader was taken.
